AFFILIATE MARKETING TECHNIQUES

To start with, affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a product or service owner rewards affiliates for each customer brought about by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts. In simple terms, you get paid
a percentage of the income made on every sale generated by your effort. Affiliate marketing is one of the easiest way to make money online in Nigeria.

It is easy because you don’t really get to do the major work. What you need to do is to find the best performing product or service you can market as an affiliate, setup a mini-niche blog for it, work to rank the blog on Google page 1 for it’s keyword and start an email list to promote the product/service. The big requirement for success in affiliate marketing in Nigeria is to target the right people and generate massive traffic to what you are marketing as an affiliate.

Affiliate marketing has four major players viz:
a. The  brand,
b. the network that contains offers for the affiliate to choose from and also takes care of the payments,
c. the affiliate (you) and
d. the customer.


TO SUCCEED IN AFFILIATE
A. Find the right brands to promote and a network where you can find the offers to choose from.

B. Choose the right affiliate product/service you can promote.

C. Choose the product/service and generate your affiliate links for each product/service.

D. Locate your target market is. When you find them

E. Then start marketing your affiliate product/service to them.

Note: Make sure you don’t spam your prospects, unless you will drive them away and you’ll find it hard to make sales.
